Prioritize Education

We have to make education affordable for the next generation and stop the brain-drain happening in our state

As a former teacher, Cindy is adamant that education become a centerpiece of our state. She believes education, whether it’s trade school, community college or 4-year college, must be affordable so that young West Virginians are prepared to join the quickly changing global workforce.

With degrees from West Virginia University Institute of Technology and Marshall University, Cindy knows the importance of education in her own professional and personal development. Unbearable student loan debt must not prevent our youth from pursuing higher learning opportunities.

Broadband

Improving access to statewide broadband internet is an integral part of improving education in West Virginia. High speed connectivity opens the world up to students who are geographically and financially isolated, enriching their learning experiences, improving access to diverse learning materials, and broadening their understanding of the world.
